Vivid and Intense Dream
firstly, to understand a lot of this you will have to have heard the song "Hemisphere" by Maaya Sakamoto as it is the basis for the whole thing. just for reference as well a verse is the body of the song (as you may all know), the bridge is the part between each verse and the chorus, and the chorus is the main part that you hear repeated usually (you should all know that though). i know these arent completely accurate definitions, but its just for those that dont know.
ok, awhile ago now i had a really strange dream. it followed like an FMV (film music video) of sorts really. i'll start from the beginning to give you an idea of how it went.
basically the song started playing, and i see this girl walking through a field of yellow flowers. I believe they are called Nanohana's. I still dont know much about the girl except that she was wearing a kimono, appears japanese and has brown hair of short/medium length which sort of flicks up at the ends. so the first verse is basically her walking through this field of flowers, sort of dancing/spinning/skipping along in a happy mood. she has a straw basket in one hand too.
then the first chorus starts. same thing still, only she's moving about quicker. near the end of the chorus she spots a small gathering of other flowers in the middle of the field and runs towards them.
when the second verse starts she has arrived at the gathering of flowers. its like a small bunch of them growing around some rocks. they are pink azalea's, which she grabs a couple of and puts in the basket on top of a pile of yellow flowers she has collected. then she starts to walk back.
in the second bridge she arrives at a house and i see myself sitting on the porch of it(not sure what i'm doing, i guess nothing). she walks up to me, reaches into the basket and hands me one of the pink azaleas. i refuse, and push her hand away with the back of mine swiftly. she looks shocked for a moment as if not understanding why i did it. she tries to reach out with her free hand as if to comfort me, but i turn and say something at her (again, still cant hear anything). at this point she takes a few steps back, pauses, then throws her basket on the ground in front of me and runs off. the basket breaks on the side closest to me and all the flowers fall out in a pile. i turn to watch her run off, then turn away quickly.
the second chorus is mostly her running through this forest (i think its a bamboo one) and you can see that she is crying. once or twice in between it flashes back to me sitting there sort of looking off thinking about it all. at the end of the chorus she emerges from the forest to a grassy cliff top over looking the ocean.
the next part is like a slowed down version of the chorus and starts with her standing there on the edge looking out. she is holding the flower from before (the pink azalea she tried to give me) in her hands and she is crying still. her mouth is moving but like i said before, there is no sound except the music. so either she is singing the lyrics or saying something. near the end of this it goes back to me sitting there. i look down at the pile and see one of the azalea's poking out from under all the yellow ones. i pick it up and gaze at it for a few moments, then look off in the direction she left again. i then drop the flower and start to run after her.
then it speeds up again similar to the main chorus but heavier (thats the best way to describe it really). it shows me running through the forest from before. sort of flashes between that and her standing there on the edge still saying/singing something and crying.
just near the end of the chorus is an extra bit where it goes "its calling me again". it focuses on her and i can clearly see her saying those words as she raises her hand and releases the flower over the edge, watching it fall slowly down. she turns around so she is facing away from the cliff with her feet right on the edge.
then the song slows down and the final line of the lyrics. she gently falls backwards out over the cliff with her arms outstretched. at this point i come running out of the forest and see her start to go over. still running, i jump out after her. it goes in slow motion for a moment now as i get closer to her as we fall. about half way down i grab her arm and pull her close, hugging her. at that point we hit the water and the song ends and i wake up.
and thats the entire thing. i've been pretty stuck on what it's all about and its been racking my brain for weeks now. so if anyone can help that would be great.
